Sometimes you weld in a location that requires you to wear a safety helmet. Using a quick release system, the G5-03 Pro helmet may be utilized with an adaptor to securely and easily attach the welding helmet to various 3M safety helmets.

A more natural light state
There are two options of 3M™ Speedglas™ Auto-Darkening Filter (ADF) Series G5-01/03.
Variable colour technology
Choose between natural (A), cool (B) or warm (C) tones for your dark state. You determine which colour tone provides the best viewing contrast for your welds, and the most comfort for your eyes.
Tack Welding Mode
The G5-01TW welding filter uses an intermediate shade 5 light state to help minimize eye strain during extended tack welding applications. If an arc is not struck within 2 seconds the welding filter will switch back to its normal light state (shade 2.5).
Tap function Mode
The G5-01/03 Auto Darkening Filter (ADF) has a built in TAP function. That when activated, allow you to switch between welding and grinding shade or between welding and cutting mode.
Easy switching is just a tap away
Tap on the side of the welding helmet, with or without a glove, to easily switch between grind (or cut) mode and weld mode.
Enhance your grinding
The 2.5* light state in combination with an optional task light will allow you to grind with increased visibility. The TAP function allows for quick and easy switching between welding and GRIND (or CUT) mode.
*2.5 state is only on the TW ADF
Bluetooth Connection
Advanced settings and statistics analysis. Promotion and information channel (user instructions, spare parts, accessories). The app can be downloaded on iOS App Store or Google Play. When connected to the iOS or Android device you will have access to welding filter settings, work statistics, user instructions etc.
Light up your Workspace
An optional helmet-mounted task light provides hours of powerful lighting and runs off the 3M™ Peltor™ Brand battery pack, separately attached to the headband enabling welders to enter and work in poorly lit spaces.
